Share Recovery Agent in Jodhpur

Old share certificates turn up in Jodhpur households more often than people expect — usually when a locker is cleared or an estate is being settled, and usually in the name of someone who has died.

We identify what the holding is now worth after bonus issues and splits, prepare the documents, and deal with the registrar or the IEPF Authority. No travel, no advance professional fee, and the first assessment is free.

Handicraft and textile business families, and paper holdings

Jodhpur’s handicraft, furniture and textile export businesses built the kind of family wealth that went into public issues in the 1980s and 1990s, held in physical form and rarely reviewed afterwards. Because the holdings were bought to keep, they are exactly the ones that accumulate decades of bonus shares and unclaimed dividends.

When the original holder dies and the family is spread between Jodhpur, Jaipur and cities outside Rajasthan, nobody has the complete picture: certificates in one place, dividend warrants in another, and folios whose addresses are thirty years old.

The Rajasthan route, and when a court is involved

In Rajasthan the Tehsildar issues the legal heir certificate (uttaradhikar praman patra), with applications made through an e-Mitra kiosk or at the tehsil office, and a Patwari verifying the heirs locally.

In many cases no such certificate is needed. SEBI’s simplified transmission route covers holdings up to ₹10 lakh per company in physical form and ₹30 lakh in demat, on a notarised indemnity bond and an affidavit-cum-NOC from the other legal heirs.

  • A valuation per company first — SEBI’s ₹10 lakh limit applies company by company
  • Death certificate, SEBI’s transmission request form (Annexure-3), indemnity bond and NOCs from the other heirs
  • A succession certificate petition, where needed, is filed in the district court where the deceased lived
  • Shares are credited only in demat form, so open the account before you apply

What we handle for clients in Jodhpur

How a Jodhpur claim actually runs

Five stages, the same wherever you are. Nothing here needs you to travel, and nothing is billed until the last one.

  1. 1

    Free assessment

You send whatever you have — a certificate, a folio number, a name, sometimes only a company. We tell you what exists and what it is likely worth before you commit to anything.

  2. 2

    Tracing and confirmation

We search the IEPF records and write to the registrar to confirm the holding, the corporate actions applied to it since, and who it currently stands in the name of.

  3. 3

    Documents assembled

Death certificate, heirship evidence, indemnity bond, NOCs, KYC and the demat account details — prepared in the order the registrar and the company will want them.

  4. 4

    Filing and follow-up

Form IEPF-5, the transmission request or the duplicate issue is filed, and we chase the company Nodal Officer and the Authority until the verification report moves.

  5. 5

    Shares credited

The securities are credited directly to your own demat account. Our fee becomes payable at this point, and not before.

The process in full

Zero advance fee — what Jodhpur clients pay, and when

We charge no advance professional fee. Our fee is a percentage agreed with you before we start, payable only once the shares or dividends have reached your own demat or bank account. If nothing is recovered, you owe us no professional fee at all.

  • Nothing to pay for the assessment, and nothing while the claim is running
  • The percentage is fixed in writing before any work starts — it does not move later
  • Statutory and third-party costs — stamp duty, notary, court fees, newspaper notices — are paid by you at actuals, with receipts
  • Shares are credited to your account, never to ours; we never take custody of your securities

Anyone who asks you for money before a claim has been assessed is worth walking away from. Read the full fee policy.

Questions from Jodhpur

We do not know which companies my grandfather invested in.

Start with what the house yields: old dividend warrants, annual reports, bank passbook entries and any certificate, however damaged. Those identify companies and folios, and the IEPF records can then be searched by name.

Some certificates are torn and faded. Are they still usable?

Often yes, if the folio, certificate and distinctive numbers are legible. Where they are not, the registered holder or the heirs can apply for duplicates, which since April 2026 are credited straight to a demat account.

Is a succession certificate always needed in Rajasthan?

No. It is required only where the holding exceeds SEBI’s limits and there is no will or legal heirship certificate. Most family holdings we see fall below the threshold.

Do we have to come to Gurugram?

No. Documents travel by courier and identity is verified over video. We serve Jodhpur from our Gurugram office and do not claim a local branch.

How are your fees calculated?

As an agreed percentage of the value of what is recovered, charged only after the shares are credited to your demat account. Statutory costs are paid by you at actuals.
